Led by our renowned faculty, the 2023 Texas Cardiovascular Innovations Conference – Fellows Course will utilize an interactive format to provide timely updates of scientific data, new technology and guidelines. Through case-based presentations and interactive audience modalities, the Fellows Course will provide the participants with updates on rapidly evolving technology and cutting-edge therapy. By illustrating state-of-the-art evidence and best clinical practices as they apply to real world case patient scenario, attendees will gain the understanding of their role in providing care not only in their practice today but in the future as well. Sessions will also address how to be successful in practice post-training. We expect 25 out-of-town fellows to participate in the Fellows Course.
Target Audience
The course is intended for current 2nd & 3rd year General Cardiology Fellows planning to enter into an Interventional Cardiology program, Interventional Cardiology Fellows, Vascular Surgery Fellows and Structural Heart Fellows.
Learning Objectives
At the close of the course, participants should be able to:
- Recognize and manage complex cases and associated complications
- Understand the etiology and various treatment modalities for pulmonary hypertension
- List strategies for a successful transition into a clinical practice
- Discuss business management issues in a clinical practice
